A Little Extra

Recently, I have kept accessories at an  arm's length distance. It seems like too much work. It's almost as if 2019 brought in with itself some wave of lazy fashion in my way. Not a good wave. 

Even fashion icons have a signature accessory. Mostly. Imagine Coco Chanel without her pearls, Anna Wintour without her sunglasses, Negin Mirasalehi without her boots, or any one of your favorite influencers without her stacked bracelets or dainty necklaces. Not the same. 

When I decided to take pictures of this outfit for the blog, I knew something was amiss. So I rushed in, got that red scarf and them sunglasses. Because when it comes to fashion, a little touch of something extra means a lot, if not everything.

The Precious One

In all the life that I have lived so far, I have seen people being very possessive about a few things e.g. a piece of jewelry, a box of collectibles, a family heirloom etc. I had this friend who would keep a book gifted by her mother safe in a wooden box and no one dared touch it.

In my case, that much treasured possession is my Daniel Wellington watch. I have never seen a better designed watch and there is nothing I would like to change about it. I am so possessive about it. I have given my previous watch to my sister. But no one will get this one :)

Little Adornments

For some, accessories define an entire outfit. A necklace that makes a lot of statement, a pair of ear rings that refuse to unshine, a bag having that perfect allure or bracelets that tell a lot about a person's inner self.

At times I see someone playing really cool with accessories, I close my eyes and picture them sans the little adornments. And it does make a difference. They look different to that perfect flash screen installed in my head.

Achala got this pretty necklace for me from Colaba, Bombay. I would like to spend an entire day at Colaba some day, all alone, just shopping and eating sandwiches.
