Today, designer Gaurav Gupta launched his collection 'Melt' at the Amazon fashion Week. I first talked to Gaurav in 2011. A simple person with heart of gold, his the then collection was named BABEL, based on a movie of the same name. I have always found it very interesting, the way he names his collections.
Anyway, I don't have much to say today. You guys have a great weekend.

I caught myself snoring.
I know some people may find it interesting and maybe impossible, but on a dark February night when there were no fans or air conditioners to interrupt the silence, I woke up because of a sound that came from nowhere but my own nose.
I got up immediately, feeling that restlessness one feels after knowing something that is weird and final if not bad and devastating. Remember that feeling when you first realised you are a grown up or had to be ready in a few days to change your school when one of your parents had a transferable job? Changes that we have no control over.
I know this has nothing to do with fashion. Ignore the random piece of information and have a nice weekend. Please follow me on GFC and Facebook and Instagram if you like reading the blog.
Okay, I promise, with all my sincerity and a genuine irritability at my innate laziness, I won't buy any more maxi dresses. Okay, at least not this year :) There may be three more maxi dress posts this year by the way. Someone has to wear the pile that I have already bought.
On a serous note, I am sick of wearing maxi dresses again and again. But why did I start doing so in the first place? Well, firstly, I think I have gained weight. I go through those Daily Mail pages (I am sure the intellectual ones amongst us don't do that, and that I will be judged for that, but who cares!) that say Jessica Alba hides her wonderful figure in a loose maxi dress, and I say, there you go! Let me wear a maxi dress. People will think I am hiding a figure that is nothing less than divine.
And then there are warm winters and non waxing days and bad cramps days and God knows what days. And it is not about men. I don't give a rat's ass if some people have a lot of opinion about the length of a woman's dress.
You guys have a great weekend. Please follow me on GFC and Facebook and Instagram if you like reading the blog.

It has been actually a warm winter in Delhi this time, courtesy: El Nino effect. Hence no legwarmers or overcoats were to be seen. In the middle of the winters, people let the invincible summers in their hearts out.
I am keeping this post very short. You guys have a great weekend. Please follow me on GFC and Facebook and Instagram if you like reading the blog.
We all need our fair dose of inspiration every once in a while. Growing up, I used to think that when a person really wants something, nothing can stop her from getting that.
But then things don't really work that way in life. I have seen the best of us in the worst of self doubts at times, if not all the time. Inspiration is paramount.
As far as fashion is concerned, I turn to street style blogs and features for inspiration. They do not only give me ideas to wear my blouses and skirts in a certain manner but also tell me how to move beyond the usual patterns, the usual colours, pretty much everything usual.
So, what inspires you to dress up? Let me know in the comments section and please follow me on GFC and Facebook and Instagram if you like reading the blog.
My colleague has been using a Zenfone 5 for some time now and he has been asking me to try an Asus phone. So when I got my hands on the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, I had a certain amount of expectation from the phone. And yes, the phone did meet my those expectations.
I am not a technology person. So I won’t be writing about every technical specification here. You can find those details elsewhere as well. But I am very excited to give you three reasons why you should buy this phone; three reasons that a fashion blogger like me thinks are important. And here they are:
• Camera (What else!!!) The phone has a 13 MP Primary Camera and 5 MP secondary camera with dual light flash. Now I am aware that there are phones available in market with a higher megapixel camera. But I also know that a higher megapixel does not always mean better pictures. The best part about the camera is that there is zero shutter lag which means you do not miss a moment! You can focus an object in less than a second. The picture quality is good. And did I mention a physical rear key that makes clicking selfies easy? I took all these pictures in low light (Yeah, I did feel like a mean reviewer!). See for yourself.
• Power back up: When a bag does not match my skirt, I do not really think about changing my skirt! And the bag that matches may be a small sling bag or a smaller clutch which means I do not really carry a phone charger around. It’s a hassle to say the least. Yes, phone chargers usually do not fit into clutches. One can use that space to carry more important things. Zenfone 2 Laser has great battery back up. You can Instagram all day and you still have a few bars when you are going to bed.
• Looks :): Yes, I have got a black and golden Asus Zenfone2 Laser with a golden back which pretty much goes with most outfits. It’s a good looking phone with a big screen. The HD display looks nice.
So these are the three reasons that make me love this phone. Do let me know about your experience if you have used this phone. Have a great weekend guys!
Another year went by.
And at the end of every year, we learn a few things, knowingly or unknowingly. At times it may seem that we have learnt nothing as life may not have taken any major twists and turns in a particular year. But even then, there is usually something or the other that we take a note of.
This year taught me that working out can be made into a habit! I am not saying it is easy. But once you start doing it and do not really let anything stop you, it does become a habit after a considerable amount of time. And then comes a point when your body does not feel that good when you skip your gym/run/swim/whatever.
This year taught me that reading is very important. Reading opens a range of possibilities. I do not know why had I stopped reading. But I realise that stories keep me going. The world of books is a happy world.
This year taught me to take fashion tips from girls around me. And about today's outfit, I have taken the scarf bit from my friends Achala and Mehak. No one does scarves and mufflers like these two ladies. And a small scarf makes a big difference. What do you think?
Here is wishing you a very happy new year! Please follow me on Facebook and Instagram if you like reading the posts.
