And All The Festivities

However dark and twisty that might sound, I have always been a lost soul during the festive season. All my life. It has only been recently that I look at these bright lights and all the happy faces and it just looks perfect. And the amazing temperature just adds more beauty to the festivals.

Diwali, the festival of lights, the festival of goddess Laxmi and the festival of India is as beautiful as it sounds. It is the day Rama, Sita and Laxman returned to Ayodhya after killing Ravana. And the whole kingdom was decorated with lights.

Hope you are making the most of this festive season. So, what did you do on your Diwali?

The Green Mile

The Animal Instinct

Never in my life did I think I would wear an animal print. Somehow I could never understand them. Saw them everywhere - on the ramp, in the movies, on the streets. But it never caught my fancy. Until now. I am trying to experiment just a bit here. Made the top myself. Hope you like the post.

It was a good evening. We discovered a cool accessory shop. We also went to a small bakery shop called 'Fresh Cake' at the DT Mega mall basement. Juree had a great chicken puff(sharing the picture here) and got a cheesecake packed which was awesome.

Divine in Blue

Divya, New Delhi
In a recent post, I was talking about the colour blue. And how it reminded me of certain things.  Not much after my new found love for the colour, I found someone who looked divine in blue. Here is Divya, sporting blue in a really fashionable way. Check out her bag and of course her hair...Lovely hair.

From now on, I have resolved to travel a bit and click more people. I just wish I was less lazy and could click more pictures because I have seen people assuming that women do not dress up in India. Well, there might be a grain of truth in this, but it is not a correct information in its entirety. Well, what do you think? Do let me know in the comment section.

In a Blue World

A fellow blogger once said that we should embrace our blues. I thought why not. It’s a bitter sweet life. And it is the bitter that makes sweet. Blue for me is a colour that reminds of this movie called Code 46. It was a futuristic kinda, concept based movie and yeah, blue does seem to be a futuristic colour. It also reminds me of the cover of the book The Great Gatsby.

Somehow I always missed this colour in my wardrobe. I guess it happens to many people. Even if it’s a colour you are fond of, one close look at your wardrobe tells you that you surprisingly have so less of it. So, what is the colour you think you should have more of, in your wardrobe, which colour have you subconsciously missed buying?

I have a blue house with a blue window

Buttoned Up

When was the last time you tried a shirt on your dress? This is officially autumn and and so it is the time to take out all those shrugs, throw ons and those shirts (that do not fit anymore!) and wear them in a nerd fashion way.

Its Your Body

No wonder I love Woody Allen. Everyone does.

Anyway, so when was the last time you thought about your weight? Yesterday? Right now :)

Like every other girl on this planet, I have read articles and stories about obesity and how it does matter and it doesn't. There were 2 years in my life when I was a big girl. I used to wonder, "Okay so these articles are telling me to be happy because weight didn't matter and it makes me feel good for a while and I take a proud walk, but why am I sad at the end of every day?"

Things don't change much. Once a fat girl, always a fat girl. Why? Well, even if we lose weight from most of our body parts, what about the brain? In there, most of the once upon a time fat girls are always fat. 

So, what to do? Go to your mirror? Look at yourself like you have looked at your form for the first time. If you think, you are a bit overweight, buy a pair of running shoes. If not, start a new life. People change. So have you. How hard is it to accept the fact that you look good?

Of course workout should be a part of your daily life, like brushing your teeth. But you can skip it every once in a while. But I guess its a sin to skip the thought that says you are awesome anyway.
