Its Your Body

“When we lose twenty pounds, we may be losing the best twenty pounds we have! We may be losing the pounds that contain our genius, our humanity, our love and honesty.”
- Woody Allen

No wonder I love Woody Allen. Everyone does.

Anyway, so when was the last time you thought about your weight? Yesterday? Right now :)

Like every other girl on this planet, I have read articles and stories about obesity and how it does matter and it doesn't. There were 2 years in my life when I was a big girl. I used to wonder, "Okay so these articles are telling me to be happy because weight didn't matter and it makes me feel good for a while and I take a proud walk, but why am I sad at the end of every day?"

Things don't change much. Once a fat girl, always a fat girl. Why? Well, even if we lose weight from most of our body parts, what about the brain? In there, most of the once upon a time fat girls are always fat.

So, what to do? Go to your mirror? Look at yourself like you have looked at your form for the first time. If you think, you are a bit overweight, buy a pair of running shoes. If not, start a new life. People change. So have you. How hard is it to accept the fact that you look good?

Of course workout should be a part of your daily life, like brushing your teeth. But you can skip it every once in a while. But I guess its a sin to skip the thought that says you are awesome anyway.

Have a happy weekend!

A Drive To Remember

Life in a metro comes with its own set of cons.  And on an odd weekend, anything from visiting a friend you love to going for a simple drive can change things.

Am posting a simple post. Nothing much to say. Except that I went on a drive to remember! Also, except that there is nothing like your favourite pair of jeans! I think thats a must in every girl's wardrobe.

Tangerine Dreams

Last time I dreamt about orange
I saw a girl with tangerine hair

Aunt Robin growing oranges
And those wild flowers so rare

I saw the sun's brief moment
All the romances in his share

A Quick One

Hope all of you are doing great. I have slightly been busy with stuff even I do not know and understand! I guess that happens to everyone. Anyway, here is a quick post. Just a one picture that says that one can dress UP for work using a big belt. You guys have a great weekend! See you next weekend.

Colour Me Pink

Abhilasha, Varanasi
Pink, the colour of love, is the colour that is the most associated with women. It is believed to be a woman’s colour. Why am I thinking of the pink drawings on the metro station saying ‘Only for Ladies’?

Anyway, here is some almost overdose of pink for you. Try it if you are the ‘I love pink’ kinda person. If you are not, you can try accessories of a different colour. And yes, do enjoy your weekend!

Polka Dots

One of the best trends of the 70s that is back now is polka dots. Though there are still many people out there who would be apprehensive to get spotted (of course literally), the trend looks like it is here to stay.
Fondly called as Bobby prints by our Masterjis in India, polka dots look cool in every season. Alright, so here is a simple polka dot look that you might try. A polka dot top with a vibrant coloured belt. For me, it looks exactly what a fall winter look should be. Hope you like it.

These Are Not Just Shoes

I love my red converse. So much that they are a part of me now. And it feels like an unconditional love from both sides. They get punched, kicked (and they kick back!), they get a lot more dirty than my other shoes and they still love me back.
Like many other girls on this planet, I too can dare to wear my red converse with the prettiest dresses. They always complement. Though I haven’t been very experimental here, but I will post some adventurous pictures later.

When I think of travelling the world, this pair is the first thing I will pack. I am sure you all have your beautiful memories with your converse. For me its my childhood, teenage and youth all in a shoebox. Tell me how you feel about your converse shoes.
