Vintage Inspired

Most of us carry a fondness for history, for things that are old but spectacular anyway. Talking about fashion, do you remember how you feel every time you look at a black and white picture of Audrey Hepburn? The eternal classic feeling.

How much of the gone era revisits us? Of course, a typical female wardrobe has undergone many transitions ever since Mary Quant created shorter skirts so that women could easily run for a bus. But some things keep coming back.

Trends like bobbed haircuts, polka dots, simple pleated skirts, wide legged bottoms, they reappear on the streets before we know it. And when we spot them, we are smitten. Truly, old is gold. I am wearing an old era inspired, self made skirt here. Let me know about your vintage obsession in the comments section.

Another Must Have

"Ninety percent of the time I'm having romantic-comedy fantasies in which I'm wearing little pencil skirts and hurrying down to the subway."- Mindy Kaling

As I watched the winters take a sudden yet silent exit, I was glad that I got these ones clicked last week. I am also glad that I bought this black pencil skirt, though I did not buy it recently, but that is not the point. So I wanted to say that besides a yellow cardigan, I think a plain black pencil skirt is a must have in a wardrobe. What do you think?

And it is weird how I am going all gaga over the skirt when it is the bag that stands out in the pictures. But it is a nice bag. Ain't it? You can buy it on Pelicans & Penguins
You guys have a nice weekend. Stay stylish.

Your Leather jacket

There is something about a black leather jacket. Ever since childhood, all those handsome actors on TV and in movies, all those pretty actresses too, at some point, they have wowed us in leather jackets. I am thinking of Dean and Sam from Supernatural at the moment. And of Charlize Theron.

A well designed leather jacket means effortless style. You throw it over a regular denim and tee, all you need is a good pair of shoes and you are all set to make a statement. Love the way lovely Katerina wears a leather jacket hereWith dresses, leather jackets add an element of confidence and up the chic factor.

Would you wear a jacket over a dress? What is your favourite way of donning your leather jacket? Tell me in the comment section. Hope you enjoyed reading the post and hope you have liked my Facebook page.

And yes, thank you Juree, for clicking pictures for this blog. I cannot imagine how this long way to go thing would have looked without you being there.
