Sense and Simplicity

Abhilasha, Varanasi
Ever wondered how life takes its course, no matter how many times you stop believing. All your trials, tribulations, fights, silly moments, not so perfect days, they all look toned down in retrospect. They all look like they were meant to be, some more, the others less.

There is something very simple about life; no matter how complicated we all have seen it to be. This weekend, I am thinking about simplicity, a word that is underrated as well as overrated. A word that encompasses our thoughts and actions even without us realizing it.

My look of the weekend is polka dots, kept as simple as it can be. And what can be simpler that the colour white? Just add a few accessories, really few. Wear your favorite bright coloured shoes and a big smile reflecting simple, pure happiness.

Creating Fashion

What is coffee without some cream? Or a cake without an icing? Well, most of us know the difference. When we dress up, we often do not pay enough attention to a few things, accessories for example. Aren't they the icing on the cake?

In my last post I talked about how accessories can transform a look. They can in fact do more. They can add some drama. They can subtract some ordinariness. They can complement. They can amaze. They can create fashion!
I am posting a few pictures of some really great stuff I found online recently. It is called tadpole store. Reminds me of a movie where the actor is told that he should date women his age and Oscar (the actor) respectfully disagrees!
Anyway, tadpole store offers things that put one thing above all: design. Hope you like these. Do check their website for more. And yes, I feel that the black and white clutch and the owl tote bag are a knockout! And I am so happy is kinda cute.
So do buy some accessories to complete your wardrobe guys. And do have some cake this weekend. Enjoy!

Red and White

Santa didn’t inspire this. My love for this short red skirt did. It’s a Globus skirt I bought long back and never really got a chance to wear. Its bright and its chic. What do you think?
I have added just an owl necklace and a regular watch. The hair is windswept though you can also tie it up like a high bun or something. I have tied up the t-shirt a bit on the edge. It’s a trend I cannot get enough of. Hope you like it.

It Should Make You Happy

Fashion, at times is a mystery in itself. At times it hits an instant chord with you and at times it is puzzling or even shocking. When I was a kid, I used to think that fashion is what makes you feel fashionable; it is what makes YOU happy.
William Shakespeare once said,” But O, how bitter a thing it is to look into happiness through another man's eyes."
A certain dress might be in, but is it YOU? And it doesn't matter if Kate Moss is wearing it. If you don’t feel comfortable enough to actually feel happy in it, it is no good.
So lets raise a toast to happiness. I am posting a few pictures of my friend Juree (she is wearing a Chemistry dress here) who has an absolutely inimitable style. A style that is fuss free and elegant and truly reflects happiness.
This weekend, I am going to do something that makes me happy. I am going to eat and get some healthy dose of friendship. And all you rockstars, what would you do?
