Bhane Love

For me, fashion is what I can see on the streets, anywhere in the world, not necessarily where I live. It never strikes me that much till I see it out there, even if it is just one person, one street, one time.

When I discovered Bhane, the first word that I said was cool! I ended up looking at all the pictures on their websites only to realize that everything they have is for us to wear (and go out in the streets being nothing less that who we are) and not to lie idle in a closet. I have personally found very few Indian brands looking this cool.

The word Bhane can be pronounced in five ways as they say. Though I am yet to know what the word means, I certainly know that I am in love with what they are selling. It is different, well priced and I don't care how many times I have used this word, but they are really cool.

And by the way, this month's issue of Elle magazine had a feature on the new rules of dating and the new pick up lines. One of the pick up lines read like this: "Are you one of those models on Bhane website"?

Not bad, right?

Days Of Trench

It was a different morning when I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's for the first time. A nice Sunday morning with a hot mug of coffee and some  unhealthy breakfast. A Sunday morning when I intentionally forgot about my chores and mobile phone.

In the last scene when Audrey Hepburn runs in the rain to find her cat, I was hooked on the trench. It was then that I decided to buy a trench sooner or later. I was gifted instead. No, I had not told anyone that I wanted. I just got it. I guess someone was listening to my fashion prayers after all.

A trench coat sure it a great wardrobe must have. What do you think?

Postcards From Winter

I am back after the break. Had written a few posts earlier this year. Will upload every Friday from now on...well almost :)

January 1 2014

As I wake up to a new year, barely a few weeks old, numb with cold and despair, I see a lot in the rear view. A lot that was happy and a lot that was fuzzy and gray. I see friends I lost and acquaintances I made, how I have not been fearing anymore calling a spade a spade.

Blogwise, I found out how I wished to dress up. I know that sounds naive and late at the same time, but trust me that was a Eureka moment indeed. I now know exactly what to buy, and  here I am going overboard...haha.

Last year, I read more and I wrote more and I plan to keep it that way. Love the smell of books, besides the other beautiful things they do to us. I had more coffee than usual; no I was never a tea or coffee person, but the office coffee got me kind of addicted.

Posting a few pictures from last month. Hope you are all doing great. .
