The Quiet One

In this post, I will talk about one of my sisters again. She is the calm one, though not that calm either. She likes to dress up in a very soft, understated manner. She likes everything with frills and soft helms and subtle colours.

She could be an easy going professor or a librarian or an overqualified house wife. But I always look at her as if she is a four year old, as if she cannot even tie her shoelaces.

She does not always like the way I dress. But she likes the pictures on the blog. And I quip, "Told you!"

I will have more posts that feature my sisters in future. Hope you guys are doing great. Have a great weekend.

The Chatterbox

“Betsy liked to talk. Her father always said she got it from her mother, and her mother always said she got it from her father. But whomever she got it from she was certainly a talker.”
― Maud Hart Lovelace, Betsy and Tacy Go Downtown

My sister is a talker as well. She is an affable chatterbox who will irritate and amuse you at the same time. She can talk about anything that holds her attention and has an great ability to let the conversation flow. And she is loud. Even at the most noisy places, we have to sushhh her.

But when she stops talking, we feel as if something is not right. Her silence is not comforting. Not even for half an hour. My sisters were here a few weekends back and we took some pictures.

You guys have a great weekend!

Writing Something

So far, I have not really written much except for some poems that can be rightfully edited and some blogposts that uncomfortably co-exist with images.

I have an inflated sense of everything. I can never be satisfied with what I do. So every time I think of writing, I end up deciding to read more first. It seemed like a great idea at first. Soon, I realized I am not doing myself any good as it has been years now.

This year, i went to Jaipur Literature festival and what really intrigued me the most was that even boys and girls, as young as 16 were talking about finding a publisher for some list of poems they had written. High time!

This time I am posting two images that relate to what i have written. Better than before I guess.

Shopping And Happiness

“I'm still trying to figure out the secret relationship between the woman and the mall!”
― Ibrahim Taha

I feel good after shopping. At least for a while. Its instant gratification most of the times. but if I do not go overboard, I am mostly happy with what I buy. I admit that there have been days when shopping has not proved to be the most efficient weapon against depression. But there are days when it really feels nice, no matter how shallow it sounds to some.

When i go alone, and have decided the exact amount of money I will spend, shopping seems like a project that ends with a party. A very interesting part of shopping is to come back and show the stuff to people at home. As a child, I used to be so excited about getting a new dress, i would wake up the next day and would take it outside just to see how it looks in the morning light. It gave me happiness. I wonder if other children ever did that.

You guys have a great weekend. Shop if it makes you happy.
