The Long and The Short of It

In my head, I have been taking the rebellious lane for a long time now. Ever since I was 10. I had pictures of studded jackets, messy hair, loud songs, old torn shoes coupled with similar feelings in my head. 

 But on the outside, everything was subdued, silent and non messy. The interior had a serious conflict of personality with the exterior. But the interior always dominated. Maybe because the head is always stronger than the body. 

 So do all people dress up the way they are inside their head, calm or restless, grunge or nudes & peaches, palazzos or leggings, basic or flamboyant, black or white? I don't know the answer to this question. But I do want to find and embrace whatever I am.

 I believe it takes time to find out what look we really want to sport and not regret later. It will take a while for me. Till then, I will look at people to see what they are doing. You have a great weekend.

    Great post Rupa. I suppose we all feel the same, at least I do. The inside and the outside are totally different. It's kinda funny I never thought about it. But now to your outfit, I really like it, it suits you. You look dreamy and soft, but still strong and down to earth, hope that makes any sense to you. I explain things always so badly.

    You are very young, I'm sure you will find your style for your inside and for your outside in one way. I got my own style, but some days my head are rebellious and I dress like a rock chick ;)

    I believe that a lot of people are holding in their true personalities ( especially style wise), because they feel the pressure of society to be or behave in one manner or another!
    I have only recently started dressing the way I felt in iside & it is truly a wonderful feeling, because I feel comfortable of how I look & what I am wearing!
    + you look so beautiful in this outfit, the skirt is definitely my favorite! :)

    I think the outside be a mimic or a representation of the inside. Most often we dress for societal's conditions placed upon what is "in fashion" or fashionable to wear. But I think true style comes down how much of yourself do you bring to the outfits you wear, because then you choose to honor yourself. I really like the color of your skirt, light and airy!     ok first off, i love this outfit. it's so laid back cool. and secondly, I can totally relate with you on that note. In my head I have this certain image i want to achieve in the way i dress up - like more feminine with a touch of cool. but everytime i try to execute it, i end up looking more adrogynous than ever... i mean i guess boyish has always worked for me but sometimes i just wish i can wear more feminine outfits. but it is true that it takes time to find out what you want. i'm not even there yet...
